WiNN Women Speak at TEDx!

On January 19, 2025, three women in the WiNN collective were part of an online global TEDx event centered on the themes of original WiNN member Rebecca Kormo’s thought-provoking book: Intertwined: Women, Nature and Climate Justice. The event brought together 14 women focused on community-centered solutions to climate change, species loss and gender equity from around the world.

Along with WiNN members Ankita Shah from Nepal and Kayce Anderson and Rebecca Kormos from the U.S., the event included Zainab Salbi from Daughters for Earth; Sergeant Nyaradzo Auxilia Hoto from the famed all-female anti-poaching unit Akashinga; Athanasie Mukabizimungu sharing about women-led collective Imbereheza Gahunga’s partnership with Wild Earth Allies to drive grassroots engagement to benefit communities and protect endangered mountain gorillas in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park; and Jacqueline Farmer’s work with Nature Though Her Eyes and the VII Foundation to deliver more women’s stories to global audiences and highlight the vital role of women in environmental storytelling.

The full event is no longer available, however, you can find each of these women’s talk’s on the TEDx platform through the links below!
