Global Networking Event

WiNN’s annual global networking event brings together international conservation leaders, WiNN members, conservation practitioners, students, and any woman interested in learning more about conservation. Through symposium and workshops, attendees have opportunities to exchange knowledge and experiences, strengthen their leadership skills, and connect with other women. Past global networking events have been held in Argentina, Kenya, Mexico, and Nepal.

Seeing all those women from different age groups and different nationalities come together on a common platform to share their stories, hardships, and experiences helped truly understood the meaning of perseverance and resilience through real-life examples,” wrote Nepal 2022 Global Conference attendee Asmita Rawat, a Nepali forestry student and CoalitionWILD member since 2021. “That’s why events like this are important to encourage the feeling of empathy and understand the power of solidarity.”

Conservationist Fatima Gigante was so inspired by her experience at that same 2022 Global Conference that she was inspired to found a chapter in Spain. “Everyone was so willing to share with an open heart,” wrote Fatima, about her experience at our 2022 conference in Nepal. “Getting to listen to so many diverse experiences from women, both in the field in Nepal, and internationally, made me feel that I was important, that what I do is relevant, and that although sometimes we feel like we are working alone on our own bubbles, there is a global community of women working in many places, facing multiple challenges, just like we do. This event made me feel part of something bigger.”

Our 2025 Global Networking Event will once again take place in Mexico. Learn more about our 2025 conference here

On the first day of the 7th Annual Global Networking event, I was incredibly emotional. Seeing so many women, young and old in one room brought together to shine a light on women’s empowerment, filled my heart with joy every single time....

Everyone was carrying stories of hope. In this awe-inspiring atmosphere, a single truth echoed: Empowered women empower women.
